COMMISSION & CUSTOM ORDER POLICY
Thank you for choosing Arcane Expressions for your custom creation. Every commissioned piece is handcrafted with care and designed to reflect the unique vision of the client while remaining true to the artistic style of Arcane Expressions.
By placing a commission, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
Commission Requests
All commission requests are subject to review and approval.
Arcane Expressions reserves the right to accept or decline any commission request at its sole discretion.
Design Process
Commissions begin with a consultation to discuss design ideas, materials, colors, sizing, inspiration, functionality, and other project details.
Reference images may be used for inspiration; however, Arcane Expressions does not reproduce copyrighted designs, trademarks, or the work of other artists.
Because all commissioned pieces are handcrafted, minor variations from sketches, concepts, or reference materials may occur.
Deposits and Payment
A deposit equal to fifty percent (50%) of the total project cost is required before work begins.
The remaining balance must be paid in full before shipment or delivery of the completed piece.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, clients are responsible for shipping costs associated with sending commissioned items to Arcane Expressions for inspection, repair, alteration, or review.
Arcane Expressions reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether shipping costs will be reimbursed in exceptional circumstances, including confirmed shipping damage or carrier-related issues.
Deposit Refunds
Deposits may be refunded if the client cancels the commission before work has begun.
Once design work, material sourcing, pattern development, construction, or production has started, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
Changes and Revisions
Reasonable design adjustments may be discussed during the planning phase.
Significant changes requested after production has begun may result in additional charges, extended timelines, or may not be possible depending on the stage of completion.
Arcane Expressions reserves the right to determine whether a requested change constitutes a major revision.
Production Timelines
Estimated completion dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.
Completion times may vary due to material availability, workload, illness, family emergencies, shipping delays, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Clients will be notified of significant delays whenever possible.
Refunds and Returns
Custom orders, commissioned pieces, and personalized creations are generally not eligible for refunds once production has begun.
If concerns arise regarding a commissioned piece, clients are encouraged to contact Arcane Expressions so that the matter may be reviewed and discussed.
Ownership and Copyright
Upon full payment, the client becomes the owner of the physical commissioned item.
Arcane Expressions retains all copyrights, design rights, sketches, patterns, concepts, photographs, and intellectual property associated with the creation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The purchase of a commissioned item does not transfer reproduction rights, manufacturing rights, commercial rights, or copyright ownership.
Portfolio and Promotional Use
Arcane Expressions reserves the right to photograph and display completed commissioned works for portfolio, website, social media, educational, exhibition, promotional, and marketing purposes.
Personal customer information will not be disclosed without consent.
Limitation of Liability
Arcane Expressions shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use, wear, storage, alteration, or handling of commissioned items.
Acceptance
Payment of a commission deposit constitutes acceptance of this Commission & Custom Order Policy.
